The halls on the Düsseldorf Messe premises, where the Youth Convention is taking place, will be occupied with a number of workshops, so many different things to see and do, to sing and so much more. To allow the participants the time to pause, various groups have set aside places in Hall 7.2 to find peace and pastoral care.
The International Youth Convention in Düsseldorf, in May 2019, is drawing ever closer, anticipation is increasing and preparations are in the final phase. For the youth who simply want to stop for breath, a chill-out area is being provided in the event Hall 7.2. The chill-out area is hoped to be an oasis of peace and quiet for visitors to the Youth Convention.
Different places to wind down
The representative of the Apostle District of Karlsruhe, Bishop Jörg Vester (NAC Southern Germany) and several youth and youth leaders, representing the Apostle District, had met to find and action ideas on behalf of their Church.
Their ideas were rich in creativity and variety; much time was spent on the final idea of the chill out area. There will be a lounge area to stretch out on, rooms of tranquillity, a café, a Bible corner and much more for visitors of the International Youth Convention to find.
Pastoral care section
The area set aside for pastoral care in Hall 7.2 should give the youth the opportunity to write down their wishes and thoughts on the subject of pastoral care. Committed men and women will be on hand to talk and discuss the subject with the youth. The young visitors can come to meet the male and/or female counsellors, to build trust and, if desired, to make one-to-one personal contact.
A subject close to the heart of many pastoral carers, will be discussed in Hall 7.2: “Pastoral care – also a matter for women”. The youth will have the chance, there, to acquaint themselves with pastoral care for women, by women, within the New Apostolic Church.
